Cakes and Desserts

Our standard 9" cake serves 14 portions.  9" and 6" cakes ONLY can be ordered for the next day or purchased on the spot daily at the bakery.  Non-standard cake sizes are 8", 10", 12", 14", 10X10", and 11X15".  All non-standard orders must have 2 days notice minimum, 3 days desirable.  Bernice’s cakes are two layers cut down the center = 4 decorated layers. Our 10X10" and 11X15" cakes are one thick layer cut down the center = 2 layers decorated.

CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE
Layers of dark chocolate cake filled and covered with an elegant chocolate ganache pour over.

CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY
Raspberry puree between layers and of dark chocolate cake iced with chocolate ganache.

NIGHT AND DAY
A checkerboard of dark chocolate and white wine cake filled and frosted with chocolate ganache.  Garnished with house made chocolate triangles.

CHOCOLATE CREAM CHEESE
Luscious cream cheese frosting hugged around every curve of moist dark chocolate delight!  Try it filled with cherry or raspberry!

GERMAN CHOCOLATE
Light chocolate cake layers filled and topped with a creamy pecan and coconut filling.  Chocolate ganache and pecans finish an elegant cake you won’t soon forget.

MOCHA
Espresso whipped cream between layers of dark chocolate cake infused with espresso.  Finished with espresso whipped cream and chocolate covered coffee beans.

CHOCOLATE HAZELNUT
Chocolate cake brushed with hazelnut liqueur.  Choose chocolate ganache or hazelnut Italian Buttercream between the layers.  Finished with more hazelnut Buttercream and toasted hazelnuts.

GRASSHOPPER
Chocolate cake filled and frosted with a minted light green Old Fashioned Buttercream.  A luscious ganache pour over adds to the elegance of this cake.

OLD FASHIONED CHOCOLATE
Moist chocolate cake frosted like mom used to - simple, fluffy white icing & filling - an instant classic!

CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY GRAND
This cake is dressed to impress!  Dark chocolate cake filled with raspberry puree and brushed with orange liqueur.  Light pink Bernice’s buttercream and a luscious chocolate pour over finish this elegant cake.

RASPBERRY WINE
Moist white wine cake filled with lovingly prepared raspberry puree and frosted with Italian buttercream.

LEMON WINE
Rich and tart lemon curd spread between lemon infused white wine cake.  Italian buttercream is spread elegantly around the cake the finished with a lemon sunburst.

LEMON/LIME WINE
Lemon infused white wine cake filled with two layers of key lime curd and one layer of lemon curd.  Frosted with Italian buttercream.  Sweet & Tart.

LIME RICKEY
Moist white wine cake filled with two layers of raspberry puree and one layer of key lime curd.  Lime infused buttercream finishes tart and tangy dessert.

KEY LIME WINE
Pucker-up for this sweet and tangy cake.  Key lime curd fills layers of lime infused white wine cake.  Finished with Italian buttercream frosting.

HAZELNUT WINE
White wine cake layers brushed with hazelnut liquor, filled and frosted with hazelnut Italian buttercream.

LEMON RASPBERRY WINE
Lemon and raspberry curd are alternated amongst white wine layers. Classically iced with Italian buttercream the combination is sure to please.

POPPY SEED WIND
Our white wine cake layers flecked with poppy seeds.  Frosted with Italian buttercream icing and filled with your choice of raspberry or lemon.

CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY WINE
Four layers of moist white wine cake each filled with raspberry puree.  Fluffy chocolate old fashioned buttercream finishes this classic cake.

RASPBERRY GRAND
A truly elegant and adult dessert.  Four layers of white wine cake each brushed with orange liqueur and filled with raspberry puree.  Frosted with Italian buttercream icing.

BERNICE'S RUM POPPY
Our take on a Missoula classic!  White wine cake flecked with poppy seeds and brushed with rum, filled and frosted with creamy Bernice’s buttercream finished with a chocolate pourover.

CHOCOLATE DE-LIGHT
Moist dark chocolate cake layers filled with lovingly prepared chocolate mousse frosted with creamy chocolate old fashioned buttercream.

TROPICAL WINE
Pineapple mousse fills this moist creamy white cake.  Bernice’s buttercream enhanced with toasted coconut finishes this cake wonderfully.  Springboard into summer with this island delight!

LEMON COCONUT
Creamy white cake layers, infused with lemon, each filled with a layer of lemon curd and a sprinkle of coconut.  Frosted with sweetened whipped cream and flecked with coconut.  Light & airy.

DARK CHOCOLATE ORANGE
A sophisticated combination of dark chocolate and zesty orange make this cake sure to please.  Dark chocolate cake filled with white chocolate orange mousse and frosted with chocolate ganache.  White chocolate shavings top off this elegant dessert.

HAZELNUT LATTE
White wine cake brushed with hazelnut liqueur, filled with hazelnut buttercream and frosted with mocha enhanced old fashioned buttercream finished with fluffy Bernice’s buttercream “foam”.

TURTLE
Dark chocolate cake layers filled with creamy homemade caramel and frosted with chocolate ganache.  Pecans and a maple glaze drizzle finish this sinful dessert.

VEGAN CHOCOLATE
Dark moist chocolate cake filled and frosted with creamy chocolate tofu frosting.  Made without eggs, dairy, or refined sugars.  So delectable, anyone can enjoy this vegan delight.

CHOCOLATE RUM POPPY SEED
Rich and fudgy chocolate ganache hugged around moist rum infused poppy seed cake.  Filled with light and decadent chocolate mousse.

RASPBERRY GRAND SPECIAL
Try this!  White wine cake layers brushed with orange liqueur and filled with raspberry puree.  Frosted with light pink Bernice’s buttercream and finished with an elegant chocolate pour over and chocolate pieces.

ORANGE SPLENDA

LEMON BLUEBERRY SUPREME

STRAWBERRY TALL
If you like it short, you’ll love it tall!  Creamy white cake layers filled with fresh strawberries sandwiched between fresh whipped cream.  Frosted with whipped cream and finished with more fresh strawberries.  Beautiful & tasty!

BOSTON CREAM
A Bernice’s twist on an old classic.  Creamy white cake layers brushed with rum, filled with rum infused pastry cream and finished with chocolate ganache.  Topped with white chocolate shavings.

LINZER WINE
Hazelnut enhanced white wine cake filled with raspberry puree and frosted with hazelnut Italian buttercream.  A couture cake that is sure to be a hit.

CARROT
Moist and flavorful.  Chock full of pecans, raisins, coconut, and pineapple.  Frosted with our decadent cream cheese icing.  Thirty years and still a favorite!

CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
A ring and base of creamy white cake filled with chocolate mousse.  Choose rum or orange liqueur infusion.  Topped with chocolate ganache and sprinkled with oreo crumbs.  This chocolate treat is not for the faint of heart!

Ice Cream Cakes

Try one of our sensational ice cream cakes!  Our chocolate or white wine cake layers hugged by Big Dipper's chocolate or vanilla ice cream and then frosted with old fashioned butter cream.  The combination is up to you!  A great treat for any occasion, escpecially during the summer months!  We need 48 hours notice for ice cream cakes.

FRENCH ALMOND
Ground almonds blended into a flourless dark chocolate torte, and finished w/chocolate ganache.  This is a delicious and rich dessert that will be a classy addition to any special occasion!

Dense chocolate torte enhanced w/espresso & finished w/dark ganache to create a luscious infusion of flavor that your taste buds will thank you for.

Our rich and creamy cheesecake mixture is a smooth and delightful alternative to traditional cakes.  We provide a plethora of delicious flavors to satisfy anyone’s desires:

NEW YORK
The traditional favorite with a slight hint of lemon and ginger-graham crust Perfect for topping with fresh berries or enjoying as is.

CHOCOLATE SWIRL
Rich chocolate swirled through the cheesecake batter and baked into a Oreo-graham crust for a delicious creamy treat.

LEMON
Accented with lemon curd swirled into the cheesecake batter and complimented with our ginger-graham crust to titillate the edges of your tongue.

PUMPKIN GINGER
Our rich, creamy cheesecake scented with pumpkin, ginger and a delicious medley of spices, in our ginger-graham crust.  Perfect for the holidays!

RASPBERRY SWIRL
Fresh raspberry puree swirled in our creamy cheesecake batter and crusted with ginger-graham crumbs is as visually pleasing as it is a delicious.

FRUIT TOPPED NEW YORK
We top our original New York Cheesecake with berry compote to enhance its already marvelous taste.  Cherry, blueberry and blackberry are among our favorites.

WHITE CHOCOLATE
This delicate infusion can be enjoyed with or without raspberries folded in and is a decadent dream for your taste buds.

Pies & Tarts:

Our pies begin with an excellent crust (27 years and going strong) and are filled with a wide variety of fabulous flavors.  Our tart crust is sweeter pastry crust that can be accented by many decadent fillings.

CREAM PIES
Our cream pies are to die for.  A warm pastry cream filling that is accented by banana, chocolate, or coconut and topped with fresh whipped cream.

PUMPKIN PIE
The taste of the holidays!  Pumpkin, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, sweets and love all baked into one delicious pie!

PECAN PIE
A pie to die for, this is one of the best!  Sweet, nutty and decadent…and delicious with a scoop of ice cream.

PUMPKIN PRALINE PIE
Can’t decide between tradition and elegance?  Why bother?  Here you can get them rolled into one fabulous dessert!

APPLE PIE
Our version of this old fashioned favorite will taste just like a slice of home!  Perfect for any occasion.

LEMON MERINGUE
This tart treat is as good as it gets – every bite.  A tangy lemon custard filling and topped with peaks of meringue.

FRUIT PIES
We have a lovely variety of fruit pies to accommodate everyone.  Peach, blueberry, raspberry, blackberry, rhubarb, cranberry…your wish is our command!  Topped with either a lattice crust or a streusel crunch.  Prices vary.

FRENCH APPLE TART
A sweet pastry shell filled with our pastry cream and topped with apples baked golden brown and shined with an apricot glaze.  Your mouth will thank you.

FRUITED ALMOND TART
Once again our tart crust is wrapped around a decadent treat. Baked almond filling is then topped with a variety of seasonal berries.  Cream cheese icing is used for a tasty garnish.

There is a $10 pie plate deposit required for every pie you purchase that will be reimbursed when the plate is returned.  WHY?  Bernice’s believes the glass plate makes all the difference in the crust.

Fluffy pastries filled w/your choice of vanilla or espresso pastry cream & glazed w/dark chocolate.  An old favorite!
